Environment

Alliance is actively pursuing environmental sustainability, both within its own operations and within its supply chain. We are working with our suppliers to improve the environmental sustainability of our products on an ongoing basis.

Increasing our energy efficiency

We continue to look for ways to improve the energy efficiency of our UK headquarters building, where around 70% of our employees are ordinarily based, with further improvement works carried out in 2020, and completed in 2021. Our opportunities to bring about positive environmental change in our regional offices around the world is limited, due to their much smaller size and location within multi-occupancy office buildings.

As the global pandemic subsides and restrictions are lifted, we are actively looking at how we can best utilise our office space to accommodate potential new ways of working, as well as how to continue relying on virtual platforms to reduce employees' international travel.

Reducing our carbon footprint

In 2020 we started gathering detailed data regarding our scope one and scope two carbon emissions (as defined by the GHG Protocol) from our UK Operations for inclusion in future Company Reporting as defined by the requirements of the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) legislation.
