The Alliance Pharma Graduate Development Program is a 2-year rotational development opportunity designed for university graduates looking to build a solid foundation for launching their careers in Scientific Affairs with a leading International Healthcare business.

Our Program

The Graduate Program provides rotations across core Scientific Affairs functions and is expected to include a rotation in one of our International Affiliates (China, Singapore, or US) during your second year with us.

Working alongside a high performing team advocating for your success, you will gain comprehensive insights into the entire Scientific Affairs function, developing a breadth of understanding through a wide variety of responsibilities and projects.

Your rotations will typically include assignments in:

  • Quality Function and Regulatory Affairs
  • Development, Technical and Product Innovation
  • Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information
  • Medical Affairs
  • Plus core business functional areas such as Supply Chain, Commercial and Finance to broaden your business understanding

Our graduate development programme offers just the right balance of guided learning initiatives and sponsored training with practical experiential opportunities to learn from colleagues and collaborate on team projects that are visible to senior management.

The program is designed to build your technical skills in Scientific Affairs but also your capabilities in leading, managing and influencing others. With exposure to our inspiring leaders for coaching and mentorship to support your growth, we will put you in the position to take ownership of your career, giving you the skills and confidence at the end of the program to successfully continue your career in the best direction with us.

The Candidate

We are looking for our next generation of talent. Individuals with a passion for the healthcare sector who aspire to make a difference as influential leaders of the future - or equally, as high impact individual contributors.

Candidates applying for the program at Alliance must meet the following requirements:

  • Have (or be on track) for a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in a Life Sciences or related discipline plus a minimum of 120 UCAS Points.
  • Career motivated with a passion for learning and self-development.
  • Drive for results with a commitment to excellence.
  • Excellent analytical skills, sound judgement and strong organisational skills
  • Adaptable and curious.
  • Strong communication skills and eager to work collaboratively.
  • Aligned with our Company Values including Integrity and Entrepreneurship.
  • Able to work 5 days per week with a min 3 days per week from our Head Offices in Chippenham.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.

The successful candidate will receive an attractive salary and benefits package including performance related bonus, pension, healthcare + 25 days holiday.

We will review your application and if we think you’re a good fit, we’ll be in touch to find out more about you. If successfully shortlisted, you will be invited to meet the team and take part in a half-day Assessment Centre at our Head Offices (in April). This will include interviews and presentation exercises along with some psychometric assessments.
