Alliance Pharma are delighted to offer a 1-year student (undergraduate) placement within our Group Finance Function commencing Summer 2022. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure across a number of areas within Finance.
During your year with us, you will work with each of our teams on a rotational basis, spending 3 months in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Reporting, Operational Finance, and Tax. You will learn the ropes of bookkeeping and practical accounting through working in a busy and dynamic finance team with responsibilities to include:
- Month ends and half year interims
- Full year audit
- Day to day operational finance
- Preparing board slides and reports to senior management
- Analysing P&L for business managers
- A variety of collaborative functional projects
You will be welcomed as an integral member of our team who will encourage and coach you as you learn about our core financial functions. Our Finance function is in a maturing phase and focused on continual development to become a world class Finance function. Our core focus is on automation, control and efficiency to move the function from transactional to value-add for our stakeholders and the business. You will be fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of our Finance department where you will be encouraged to think innovatively, to challenge the status quo and will have the opportunity to bring creative and practical ideas to fruition.
A placement with us will help provide you with the commercial skills and experience required to kickstart your career and help build the capabilities to secure the Finance role you really want for the future. We are seeking applicants with a keen interest in Finance who are currently studying a bachelor’s degree requiring 1 year in industry. Ideal disciplines are Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Studies, Engineering, Maths or Science.

If successfully shortlisted, you will be invited to meet the team and take part in a half day Assessment Centre at our Head Offices (in April). This will include interviews and presentation exercises along with some psychometric assessments.
