As the Business Technology Analyst your job purpose is to
- Play a key role in delivering and supporting automation across core business systems and platforms. focus on proposing, configuring, and maintaining automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support business needs.
- Provide technical expertise across a range of systems and low-code platforms, including ERP, EPM, HRIS, legal and regulatory systems, and workflow and integration technologies.
What you will be doing
- Contribute to the definition, selection and implementation of systems, workflow automation, and data integration platforms and tools.
- Design, configure and support process automation solutions across core business technology platforms, including ERP, EPM, HRIS, legal and regulatory systems, workflow automation tools, and data integration technologies.
- Review process documentation and business requirements, advising on technical feasibility, identifying optimisation opportunities, and shaping automation specifications.
- Provide technical input and coordination throughout the delivery lifecycle, including system upgrades, test planning, release readiness and change control, ensuring quality assurance and minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain and improve live automation solutions by resolving issues, identifying root causes and implementing enhancements based on usage patterns, performance insights and user feedback.
- Maintain good relationships for service delivery with your key business stakeholders, identifying their needs for technology products and services, supporting the roadmap for delivery, and ensuring timely delivery to agreed quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Centre of Excellence team to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of automation solutions.
- Ensure good quality documentation of deliverable designs, configurations and processes to enable ongoing continuity of support, maintenance and knowledge transfer.
- Maintain good vendor partnerships and relationships to ensure quality support for the technologies critical to the service delivery.
- Provide input to the roadmap by identifying issues and suggesting improvements based on delivery experience.
- Remain abreast of technology, regulation and process trends and opportunities within and around your Centre of Excellence services scope.
- Job split - 70% Systems lifecycle Management, 30% Stakeholder & Vendor Management
What we are looking for
- Good general understanding of process automation principles and lifecycle
- Strong business understanding, ideally within finance, HR, or regulatory environments
- Strong understanding of workflow automation and integration tools (e.g. Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, Power Platform)
- Experience supporting or delivering solutions on core business technology
- Experience with workflow automation and/or integration platforms (e.g. Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, Power Platform
- Familiarity with core business systems (e.g. ERP, HRIS, EPM) and their role in supporting business operations would be advantageous
- Experience supporting live solutions and working across the delivery lifecycle (requirements, testing, deployment, support)
- Experience capturing technical requirements or writing functional specifications
- Experience contributing to or maintaining solution documentation would be advantageous
- Experience engaging cross-functional stakeholders and understanding business process needs would be advantageous
- Experience with low-code/no-code platforms would be advantageous
