As the Global Consumer Market Insights (CMI) Senior Manager – Scar and Scalp, your job purpose is to

  • Lead insight and to act as the Voice of the Consumer across all touchpoints on our global Scar and Scalp portfolios.
  • Drive growth of our Scar and Scalp brands including Kelo-cote, ScarAway, Nizoral, and Triatop
  • Act as a strategic copilot, bringing together data, research, and deep human understanding to guide brand strategy, drive innovation, unlock growth opportunities, and shape consumer-centric communications.
  • Be a Senior Leader within the CMI function, working at the intersection of global strategy and local execution, and collaborating closely with global marketing, innovation, digital, and commercial teams.
  • Play a key role in shaping the broader CMI transformation agenda.

What you’ll be doing

Strategic Insight Leadership

  • Shape the consumer insight agenda to fuel growth across global Scar and Scalp brands by identifying knowledge gaps and driving a focused, high-impact learning roadmap.
  • Leverage existing global insights while designing and commissioning new research to build future-facing consumer understanding.
  • Play a lead role in development of global brand positioning through foundational research and insight.
  • Lead the development of strategic consumer narratives for internal and external use.

Equity & Communication Insight

  • Guide the development of global brand positioning and demand space architecture for the Scar and Scalp portfolios.
  • Lead the creation and validation of creative platforms using robust consumer feedback and testing methodologies.
  • Map and deepen understanding of the consumer journey, including category entry points and decision-making processes, to inform effective media and communication strategies.
  • Identify unmet needs and insight priorities for HCPs, particularly within the Scalp category, and support HCP communication development through targeted research and testing.

Innovation Insight

  • Act as the insight partner to the Global Innovation team, identifying unmet consumer needs using both primary research and existing data sources.
  • Lead “size of the prize” and whitespace assessments for innovation projects across both Scar and Scalp portfolios.
  • Ensure consumer centricity is embedded across the entire innovation funnel—from concept to launch—through the design and execution of relevant insight work.

Overall Leadership responsibilities

  • Contribute to the global CMI transformation agenda, owning cross-brand enablers such as knowledge management, capability building, and insight storytelling.
  • Drive Return on Insight: Maximise the value from any research by ensuring that learnings are leveraged fully, brand and category knowledge is captured, and budget is spent efficiently
  • Manage and elevate performance of external research partners to deliver high-impact, business-relevant insights.
  • Collaborate closely with global and local cross-functional teams including Marketing, Digital, eCommerce, Innovation, and Medical Affairs to embed consumer thinking throughout the business.

What we are looking for

  • Considerable experience in Consumer & Market Insight, Brand Insight, or Strategic Research roles in global or regional capacities, preferably within FMCG, consumer healthcare, beauty/personal care categories
  • Proven experience in global or matrixed roles leading insights across multiple markets and cultural contexts.
  • Deep understanding of both consumer and HCP segments, with experience supporting brand communications and innovation development for both audiences.
  • Strong exposure to Chinese market - ideally also Korea, Thailand, Australia, US.
  • End-to-end research leadership experience, including qualitative and quantitative methods, data analysis, agency management, and budget ownership.
  • Experience leading insight for brand positioning, innovation pipelines, and creative development, ideally in both consumer and HCP-facing contexts.
  • Strong track record in stakeholder management and business partnering, including cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration. Experienced in working with cross-functional teams, esp. marketing, commercial, eCommerce, regulatory/medial affairs
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (spoken and written) with exceptional communication, synthesis, and storytelling abilities.
  • Very strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Very strong influencing skills to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams in order to drive business impact through consumer insight.
  • Agility, curiosity, and proactive problem-solving to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized, with excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong team player and cross-cultural collaborator, with the ability to coach, inspire, and build capabilities within the broader CMI function.
