As a HR Business Partner, your job purpose will be to:
- Partner with business leaders to translate strategy into people priorities and ensure effective implementation of core HR processes and policies across the function or region.
What you’ll be doing as a HR Business Partner
Business Partnering & Strategy
- Translate business strategy and HR roadmap into functional or country-specific HR strategies.
- Support and coach managers to build team capability, drive engagement, and improve performance.
- Influence key people and talent decisions to support business outcomes.
- Lead talent and succession planning processes for region/function.
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence (COEs) to enhance the delivery and impact of HR services.
- Engage and embed global HR processes and initiatives at a local level.
- Deliver and/or support HR projects with an emphasis on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with global HR colleagues to share best practices, ensure consistency of approach, and contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives.
Core HR Processes & Project Delivery
- Lead and deliver core cyclical HR processes (e.g., pay review, performance calibration, development planning).
- Support organisational change, design, and workforce planning in collaboration with HR and business leaders.
- Analyse and leverage people data to support decision-making, enhance employee experience, and identify trends.
- Ensure HR systems and records are accurately maintained, supporting data integrity, reporting, and compliance.
Employee Relations & Policy Implementation
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, providing expert advice and guidance to managers.
- Proactively identify and manage ER risks; implement preventative measures where possible.
- Represent the business with works councils and local labour authorities, as required.
- Conduct employee lifecycle activities including probation reviews, exits, and return-to-work conversations.
- Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and business needs.
- Resolve ER issues and provide expert advice to managers, implementing preventative strategies where appropriate.
Talent, Retention & Engagement
- In partnership with the Talent team, support retention planning and initiatives to reduce regrettable attrition.
- Promote a culture of high performance and accountability through effective performance management.
- Support capability development through coaching and local delivery of development activity.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in a generalist HR Business Partnering role, preferably in a corporate or consumer health setting.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and employee relations best practice.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and build credibility at all levels within the organisation.
- Experience managing or supporting organisational change and HR project delivery.
- CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) qualified or working towards.
