Alliance - Our opportunities
As the Interim Senior Tax Manager, your job purpose will be to
- Provide maternity cover for the current Senior Tax Manager.
- Be involved in all tax compliance and tax advisory matters across the Group globally,
- Support the Head of Tax on strategic and transaction tax planning.
- Oversee and review the monthly payroll in multiple territories, as you will be managing a team of two payroll and indirect tax professionals.
What you’ll be doing as the Interim Senior Tax Manager
- Ensure the Group’s compliance with its global tax and statutory filing obligations.
- Support the preparation of the Group and entity tax figures for inclusion in the group/statutory/management accounts on a UK GAAP and IFRS basis (December year-end).
- Maintain and support the operation of the transfer pricing strategy, ensuring appropriate cash repatriation to the UK, where required, and maintenance of documentation.
- Support the administration of the tax affairs of the wider newly structured PE-backed organisation with their tax affairs, including financing optimisation, cash tax optimisation, acquisition and divestment activity, and potential exit planning in future years.
- Support the relationships with global tax authorities and external tax advisers, monitoring and controlling the cost, timeliness, and quality of professional advice.
- Support the tax team in working with the Finance and Operational/Commercial teams on Indirect Tax matters relating to Trade Flows and other business matters, ensuring they are harmonised with the transfer pricing strategy of the group.
- Manage the Extended Producer Responsibility and UK Plastics Tax compliance.
- Provide technical support to the HR team and wider business on employment tax matters.
- Manage the payroll in the UK, Thailand, Germany and various other territories.
What we are looking
- CTA qualified with extensive post-qualified experience from a Big 4 background
- Strong in-house tax experience, including employment, corporate tax, and Transfer Pricing
- Indirect tax and payroll experience would be advantageous
- Will be available to start the 12-month contract from August 2025 and be able to commit to the duration of the fixed term contract
