As the Regulatory Senior Scientist, the job purpose is to

  • Manage the regulatory activities in APAC which includes supporting the development and implementation of optimal regulatory strategies to ensure both regulatory compliance and global commercial success.
  • Focus on regulatory compliance, and effective cross-functional collaboration to lead and contribute to global regulatory strategies.

What you’ll be doing as our Regulatory Senior Scientist

  • Lead the implementation of optimal regulatory strategies to ensure compliance and commercial success.
  • Lead to ensure our strategic business objectives are met according to prioritised goals and projects.
  • Provide regulatory strategy for innovation opportunities for successful launch of new products.
  • Maintain the APAC portfolio, ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Responsible for departmental QMS activities, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Represent the APAC regulatory advisory opinion at cross-functional meetings and provide strategic input to meet corporate needs.
  • Create, maintain, and approve regulatory documentation, ensuring submissions to regulatory database, in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise and advisory support to the business on regulatory matters.
  • Influence changes to the internal and external regulatory environment, contributing to stakeholder consultations and industry discussions.
  • Represent the company in regulatory forums and advocate for best practices in regulatory affairs.
  • Continued training and professional development activities to achieve team goals and objectives.

What we are looking for in a Regulatory Senior Scientist, someone who has / is

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a life or physical science, engineering or similar related field.
  • Extensive experience in Regulatory Affairs within healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering global regulatory approvals and related authorisations, in APAC.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling and risk management.
  • Comfortable working in a regulated global environment.
  • Familiarity with all regulatory application processes for healthcare products.
  • Familiarity with the operation of electronic and physical product information repositories, including portals, publishing, databases, and electronic file submission, as required for the effective management of product approvals and subsequent placement on the market.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to application management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without authority, manage conflict and foster alignment across diverse teams.
  • Proficient in written and spoken Mandarin and English.
